According to reports in Taiwanese local media, Taiwan-based social networking site Wretch recently announced that the number of its members had reached over 6.5 million, making it the largest SNS in Taiwan.

At the same time, the reports revealed that when Wretch, whose domain name is wretch.cc, joined Yahoo in 2007, it only had 2.75 million users, which means the number of its users increased by 236% during the last two years.

According to Wretch Chien, founder of Wretch, the website will continue to focus on the development of its digital community. At present, the website has launched various social media tools to help netizens create their own interpersonal circles.

So far, about three billion pictures, 430 million articles, and 13 million films have been uploaded to Wretch. In addition, its user generated content function has become a solid foundation for users' sharing of information, providing fuel for the continuous growth of its members.

Founded in 1999, Wretch is one of the most well-known blog and web album platforms in Taiwan. It was acquired by Yahoo! Kimo, Yahoo's subsidiary in Taiwan, on December 13, 2006.
