AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc., a provider of high-quality software and solutions in China, today announced that it has signed a Human Resource Management (HRM) software solution contract with Angang Group, one of China's steel producers.
This contract follows an agreement signed in January, between AsiaInfo and China's Iron and Steel Association to develop and promote the use of computerized HRM systems throughout China's iron and steel industry, and marks the first HRM contract that AsiaInfo has signed with a commercial enterprise in this industry.
The Angang Group was founded in 1916, in China's Liaoning province, and is a major member of China's Iron and Steel Association. The Group, with nearly 200 operational mines and more than 180,000 employees, is considered one of the major players in China's iron and steel production industry. Currently the company produces 9 million tons of iron, 8.5 million tons of steel, and 6.8 million tons of rolled steel per year.
Under the terms of the contract, AsiaInfo will implement an integrated and multi-functional HRM software system for Angang Group to facilitate efficient human resource and organization management. The system will provide employee information, organization structure, and help to manage labor contract information. It will facilitate human resource processes such as performance management, compensation and benefit administration, employee training and development, and it will also include customized report generation and advanced data analysis functions. The AsiaInfo HRM system will cater for the human resources administration of over 200,000 employees and retirees when the project is completed. The system will be one of the largest HRM systems in China.
