SurfControl, the Web and e-mail filtering company, today announced its SurfControl Content Filter has been integrated into HGiga's Web access management product, to deliver Internet filtering for Enterprise customers throughout Taiwan.
The deal adds content categorisation technology to HGiga's PStop Web filtering product to provide coverage of the Web's most trafficked sites. PStop allows businesses to take control of their Web access enabling them to address the risks faced by Web-enabled organisations.
The SurfControl Content Filter allows the integration of its content database of categorised URLs into other vendors' solutions. It provides an interface to a list of more than 6 million websites, held in 40 categories, representing over one billion pages in 65 languages, with 35,000 new sites being added each week as well as multi-lingual content. It gives developers flexible managed access to URLs based on specific categories and ensures businesses have control over individual Internet activity.
HGiga hopes that its PStop Web filtering product will enable Enterprise customers across Taiwan to take control of their Web access allowing effective management of Internet policy and bandwidth.
