Linktone Ltd., a provider of wireless value-added services in China, and Vasunas, a Singapore-based character creation and animation company, today jointly announced that they have entered a partnership and launched a WAP-based mobile dating service that features avatars for members of an interactive community.

The service, "Love Genie," allows mobile users to choose and customize avatars or characters as their identities, such as wealthy tycoons or top models, in a virtual community. With a chat room function, the service is accessible through all WAP-enabled mobile phones and is offered on a monthly subscription basis.
