Mo Yan's novel "Big Breasts & Wide Hips" is now involved in an online dispute over illegal downloading of the book through Enet.com.cn.

Beijing Chinese Online Culture Development Company, a digital library that claims to be the book's sole Chinese publishing and distribution agent, is suing Beijing Silicon Valley Power E-commerce Company, which runs the Enet.com.cn website. Enet is accused of charging users to download and disseminate the popular novel, for which Enet supposedly has no rights to do.

Beijing Chinese Online Culture Development Company says it has sustained a great loss, and is asking Enet to issue an apology and pay CNY540000 as compensation.

The defendant has not submitted a response to the court and a date for the case has not yet been set.
