China Unicom has confirmed to the local media that it will issue some formal transfer orders later this week concerning the position changes of the top management at several of its provincial subsidiaries.

According to No. 1 Financial Daily, Wang Yazhong, general manager of Guangdong Unicom, will be transferred to work as general manager of Hubei Unicom, whose current general manager will take the position of general manager at China Unicom's Informationization Department. Wu Yongming, general manager of Dongguan Mobile, will fill the general manager position at Guangdong Unicom.

An unnamed representative from China Unicom told local media that the personnel adjustments will involve several provinces, but the detailed measures have not been disclosed.

Local media also report that the changes will help enhance mutual trust among China Unicom's subsidiaries and provide them a chance to learn from each other.
