TOM Group (TOMO) has named Tommei Tong as its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director with effect from today.

Tong has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of the Group for almost three years.

Tong is replacing Sing Wang who has resigned to pursue his own business interests.

Tong joined TOM in March 2003 as Chief Financial Officer. She has over 16 years of experience and comprehensive knowledge in accounting, finance management and corporate governance.

Prior to joining TOM Group, she was with Arthur Andersen in China for over 14 years and was made partner in 1996. Prior to joining TOM, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Ping An Insurance in 2000 and was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer before she left the company.

Tong is a qualified accountant; she is a Fellow of both The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
