AsiaInfo (ASIA) has signed contracts with China Mobile (CHL) to construct network support management systems for China Mobile's headquarters and six of its provincial subsidiaries.
Those subsidiaries are located in Guangdong, Sichuan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Shanghai and Shandong.
The network support management system is a new application in AsiaInfo's AIOpenXpert network management product suite. It features a data collection and management platform, comprehensive business monitoring, report management, and seamless integration with the BOSS disaster tolerance system.
"AsiaInfo is dedicated to providing carriers with advanced technology that supports their continuing success," said Steve Zhang, President and Chief Executive Officer of AsiaInfo. "AsiaInfo's network support management systems will allow China Mobile to monitor system operations in real time and increase operating efficiency. We are delighted to have this opportunity to expand our working relationship with China Mobile across such a wide geographic region."
Through implementation of the network support management system, telecom operators will be able to monitor the operation status of the BOSS system in real time, identify causes of any operation faults, and improve operation and maintenance efficiency.
In addition, the company says the system will help them forecast business development trends and potential problems to facilitate expansion and adjustment of the network and business support system in advance.
