Kongzhong.com (KONG) announced that it has reached a strategic cooperation with Qianlong.com to set up a Beijing news channel on its Kong.net website.

According to their agreement, Qianlong will be responsible for providing Beijing local news content for the website. The news channel on Kong.net will be constantly fed news from Qianlong.com and the content will be edited in line with mobile phone userss reading habits.

Yang Ning, president of Kongzhong.com, believes the wireless service features strong advantages such as timeliness, personalized and interactive.

Yang says that his company will now focus on launching Guangzhou news and Shanghai news WAP channels and construct them according to local users' habits. In Guangzhou and Shanghai, they will choose local mainstream media, like Qianlong.com in Beijing, for cooperation.
