Content distribution company ChinaCache has signed an agreement with Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Under the terms of the agreement, ChinaCache and HUST will jointly form a research and development laboratory which will exclusively engage in research development for the content distribution network industry in China. The joint laboratory is expected to play a significant role in further promoting the development of content distribution networks in the China market.
Located in Wuhan, HUST is a key university under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education of China. The university, which ranks at the top of China's leading universities in its comprehensive strength, has 36 academic schools and departments in eleven disciplines ranging from philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history to agriculture, science, engineering, medicine and management.
"HUST is very pleased to have joined hands with ChinaCache in this important R&D initiative," commented Wang Shu, Director of Telecommunications Department under HUST. "The new joint research laboratory will provide the in-depth scientific and technological research for the CDN industry in China and contribute to its development in the future."

Established in 1998, ChinaCache has built 115 service nodes in more than 40 major cities across China, with its total network capacity reaching 100 Gbps.
