Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei has inked a contract with T-Mobile Czech Republic to replace all the current running GSM base stations in the country with base stations that adopt the new technology of Huawei.
The network modernization will cover all of T-Mobile's 4,500 GSM base stations and 150 base station controllers around the Czech Republic. The replacement will be fully completed in the next 18 months and the relocation will be mainly implemented at night, which will not affect the normal use of the users.
Ling Haifeng, vice president of Huawei European Region, stated that the company is proud to further its partnership with T-Mobile and to contribute to the modernization of the network across the Czech Republic. With its advanced technologies and fast service response times, Huawei is committed to helping T-Mobile Czech extend its lead in the dynamic and fast-growing mobile broadband market.
