China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has published a report on China's telecom service quality for the third quarter of 2008, which lists 130 irregular activities committed by Chinese telecom value-added service providers who were punished by local telecom administrations across China.
The report says, of these service providers, 12 inter-provincial telecom value-added companies were punished by telecom administrations in at least three or more provinces and municipalities. The 12 companies are Chongqing Trsoft Co., Ltd; Guangzhou Kingzing Computer Technology Development Co. Ltd; Guangzhou Tianshitong Computer Networking Science and Technology Co., Ltd; Beijing Quandian Information Science and Technology Co., Ltd; Sichuan Neower Information Science and Technology Co., Ltd; Sichuan Great Wall Software Science and Technology Co., Ltd; Henan Sofine Industry Co., Ltd; Shanghai Xuanliang Industry Co., Ltd; Beijing Yunxiao Science and Technology Co., Ltd; Beijing Xinqi Shijie Communications Science and Technology Co., Ltd; Guangfa Xinye (Beijing) Science and Technology Co., Ltd; and Shenzhen SkyInfo Telecom Tech. Co., Ltd.
The report points out that in the third quarter of 2008, the total number of telecom problems were 10,334. Of those, reports related to telecom services accounted for 34.2% of the total reports, decreasing by 4.2% compared with the second quarter of 2008. Those problems related to telecom quality accounted for 21.2%, an increase of 2%; and those related to fee disputes accounted for 44.6%, increasing by 2.2% over the previous quarter.
