Due to overheating issues, Taiwan-based computer manufacturer Acer is now globally recalling five types of laptop computers.
The laptops involved are Aspire AS3410, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG. The laptops in question were all made before September 15, 2009. Acer said that the microphone cable of the computers may overheat when extreme pressure is applied repeatedly to the left palm rest, and this action may lead to a malfunction.
Consumers can login at Acer's official website to check whether the computer they are using are on the list by inputting the serial number or SNID of the computer.
