Hong Kong-based Asia Media Network has agreed to acquire all of China Dispatch's online assets, including social media sites, email newsletters, user databases, and business intelligence news media.
The transaction is set to close by December 31, 2009, for an undisclosed sum.
China Dispatch started its first online media property in 1999, when founder Danny Levinson launched an online forum and newsletter in Beijing focused on Internet businesses and startups. That newsletter grew into the popular ChinaTechNews.com website, which now publishes daily business intelligence covering the Chinese Internet sector.
Other B2B focused media part of AMN's acquisition include Chinese-language and English-language websites such as GreenChinaTech.com, ChinaSourcingNews.com, ChinaRetailNews.com, ChinaCSR.com, TechSecurityChina.com, ChinaWirelessNews.com, and over two dozen other blogs and niche business news media covering Greater China.
Some editorial staff from China Dispatch will move to AMN's new operations, and AMN will continue all media brands as it merges China Dispatch's operations into its own.
