China's three major telecom operators, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, have published their operating statistics for November 2009.
During the month, China Mobile gained 667,000 new 3G users; China Unicom gained 801,000 new 3G users; and China Telecom gained 3.07 million new 3G users.
At the same time, the number of China Mobile's new 2G users increased by 4.579 million; and the number of China Unicom's new 2G users increased by 605,000, a decrease of 24.5% compared with the previous month. So far, China Mobile has over four million TD-SCDMA users; China Unicom has over 1.822 million WCDMA users; and China Telecom has over five million CDMA users.
Statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that in 2009, China will complete investments of CNY143.5 billion in the 3G sector and will have over 10 million 3G users before the end of the year.
