Chinese IT solutions and services provider Neusoft has signed a medical information software project with the provincial government of Hainan, and the company will invest CNY600 million to build a information industry base in Hainan Ecological Software Park.
An agreement jointly signed by Hainan Health Department, Hainan Industry and Information Technology Department, the government of Chengmai county, and Neusoft stated that Neusoft's information industry base in Hainan will focus on software research, technology development, software outsourcing, medical electronics, datacenter construction, and talent training. With the completion of the project, it is expected to realize an annual output of CNY600 million and will hire 2,000 employees.
In addition, Neusoft and the two departments will implement close cooperation in public health, integration of regional medical resources, medical organization information, development of a healthy tourism service platform, and training of medical health and information talents.
Depending on Neusoft's high-tech medical information system and terminal products, the project will provide remote consultation and dynamic tracing of health information services to domestic and overseas tourists as well as residents in Hainan.
Chengmai county will reportedly be the first demonstration pilot for this medical information project in 2010.
