China Telecom published its performance report for the first three quarters of 2012, stating that its operating revenue was CNY209.983 billion during the reporting period, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%.
The company's operating revenue excluding mobile device sales was CNY191.572 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%; and its net profit was CNY12.564 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 8%.
From January to September 2012, China Telecom's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization were CNY73.126 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%; while its EBITDA rate was 38.2%, which was 3.8% lower than the same period of last year.
For user groups, the number of China Telecom's mobile users reached 153 million by the end of the reporting period, including 59.72 million 3G mobile users. During the first three quarters of 2012, the company gained 26.15 million new users, and its average revenue per user was about CNY52.7 on a monthly basis.
For its fixed line business, the number of China Telecom's fixed line local phone users decreased by 3.63 million during the reporting period. However, the number of its broadband users reached 86.96 million, a net increase of 10.15 million.
