Chinese Internet security software giant Qihoo 360 has appointed Chen Jie as new chief operating officer of the company, leading daily operations, effective immediately.
Chen will directly report to Qihoo 360's chairman and chief executive officer Zhou Hongyi.
Zhou comments that Chen is a reliable leader. Over the past few years, she showed extraordinary abilities, he says. Zhou believes that Chen will be able to optimize Qihoo 360's businesses, provide better services to customerss, and promote the company's long-term success.
Chen joined Qihoo 360 in March 2006 and was appointed senior vice president of the company in 2014. She previously supervised many units, including PC, mobile, and Internet of Things sectors.
Before joining Qihoo 360, Chen worked for Yahoo China as deputy editor between 2004 and 2006, leading website content production and management. From 2002 to 2004, Chen was editor of Sohu.com; and from 2000 to 2002, she worked as senior editor at Sina.com.
