Smart home technology company Raven Tech is reportedly being bought by Chinese search engine Baidu for an undisclosed sum.
Chinese media report that Beijing-based Raven Tech, which focuses on artificial intelligence as the underpinning of its smart home services and products, is an alumnus of Microsoft Venture Accelerator.
Raven's founder Lv Cheng will will report to Baidu's president and chief operating officer Lu Qi and oversee the search engine's roll-out of smart home services.
The company previously raised a US$18 million series A round from Zhen Fund, Matrix Partners China, DCM Ventures, and Y Combinator.
