Chinese Internet company NetEase announced the appointment of Yang Zhaoxuan as its new chief financial officer.
Yang is a replacement for the former acting chief financial officer Cai Anhuo who resigned due to personal reasons. According to information from the official website of NetEase, Cai joined NetEase in November 2003 as corporate finance director and started to be a financial director from January 2005. In July 2007, he was appointed acting chief financial officer of NetEase. His new CFO role was effective on June 30, 2017.
NetEase previously published its unaudited financial report for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017. The financial report revealed that Cai resigned due to personal reasons and the resignation would be effective on June 30, 2017. However, Cai would continue to work as NetEase's consultant for one year.
Before joining NetEase, the newly appointed CFO Yang worked for J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific's Hong Kong branch for nearly ten years, leading China technology, media, telecommunication, and corporate finance teams. Yang gained his bachelor's degree of economics and mathematics from Wesleyan University and he got MBA at the University of Hong Kong.
