According to reports in foreign media, Dutch chip manufacturer NXP recently announced that the company has made an investment in Chinese unmanned driving technology company Hawkeye Technologies, hoping to expand the Chinese car radar market.
Meanwhile, NXP and Hawkeye signed a cooperation agreement, under which Hawkeye will provide professional technology in the 77Ghz car radar sector to NXP. This technology can improve car security by helping the car judge accident situation. The two parties did not reveal detailed items of the agreement.
With the cooperation, the two parties will jointly develop the Chinese car market.
Kurt Sievers, president of NXP, said that the cooperation with Hawkeye shows their confidence in the Chinese market and it represents their determination of continuous investment in this marketplace.
