China Mobile recently revealed that so far, China Mobile has built over 20,000 5G base stations in 52 key cities across China and the company implemented 5G network construction in over 300 cities.

At the same time, the company predicted that more than 50 cities will realize 5G commercial services in 2019. In 2020, the network coverage will be further expanded and all cities above the prefecture level will be able to enjoy the 5G commercial services.

A representative from China Mobile said that China Mobile has the 2.6GHz and 4.9GHz frequency bands. The 2.6GHz frequency band, which is the company's main frequency band, has strong network coverage; while the 4.9GHz frequency band is flexible and can be used for network capacity and coverage supplement and vertical industries to meet business needs as demanded.

It is said that China Mobile Beijing branch has built and installed more than 3,500 5G base stations. Before the end of September 2019, China Mobile Beijing will build over 5,000 5G base stations.
