According to reports in Chinese local media, Vivo and the State Radio Monitoring Center Testing Center reached strategic cooperation and jointly announced to establish a 5G lab.
It is said that the 5G joint lab will fully play the advantages of the two parties in their respective sectors to promote technical cooperation and communication focusing on wireless communication technology development.
SRTC is the only national quality testing organization in China's radio industry. The center was established in 2011 and it focuses on testing and certification in the radio technology sector, including domestic and international monitoring, domestic certification, ability verification, product research and development, and government support
The center owns more than 30 certifications which are recognized in countries and regions like European Union, the U.S., Canada, and Japan and its testing data is recognized in over 100 countries and regions around the world.
Vivo set up its 5G research and development center in 2016. So far, the company has applied more than 2,000 5G invention products and submitted over 3,000 5G proposals to 3GPP standardization organization.
