According to a source, China has launched the production of a fourth-generation Geely Emgrand hybrid “alcohol-electric” sedan. The car is produced at the Geely plant in Jinzhong, Shanxi province. Local media vied with each other to call such an Emgrand an “alcomobile”, although it does not work on the alcohol that is used in alcoholic beverages. The power plant of the car includes an internal combustion engine with a volume of 1.8 liters, consuming on methanol.
