China Network Television and Shanda Interactive Entertainment have reached an overall strategic cooperation and have jointly announced the implementation of resource integration in various sectors, including online video, games, film, literature, music, and other online platforms.
As reported by local Chinese media, under the agreement they will also form alliance in content creation, technology support, and licensed cooperation, especially in development, operation, and promotion of online games.
In addition, the two companies will work together to promote services in the Chinese online video sector while making exchanges in copyright protection, purchase, and sharing areas.
Chen Tianqiao, chairman and CEO of Shanda, told local media that the company is glad to cooperate with CNTV and is optimistic about their resource sharing, platform merge, and technology integration.
Wang Wenbin, general manager of CNTV, said the cooperation is good for the improvement of comprehensive competitiveness of the two parties and creates a new development model and an innovative idea for the industry.
