Professor Zhang Hongke of Beijing Communications University has reportedly built the first IPV6 router for the Internet.

The Internet Protocol IPV6, based on the 128-bit Internet address space, will allow for greater use of connected devices like cars, refrigerators, phones, and other Internet-ready machines. Currently, Internet networking primarily uses a 32-bit Internet address space.

This type of router will allow for expansion of services in the next-generation Internet market about to explode.

No further details have been provided about when Professor Zhang's invention will go into mass production and sales.
