Microsoft has launched the Chinese version and professional version of its Surface tablet in China.

The Chinese version is available in 64G and 128G versions, which are sold at CNY6,588 and CNY7,388, respectively. The professional version is sold at CNY7,388.

The Surface Pro has pre-installed Windows 8 professional operating system and Office 365 home premium edition, which is available for a one-month free trial. Surface Chinese version has pre-installed Windows 8 operating system and Office 2013 home and student editions.

Panos Panay, Microsoft's global vice president, said that Surface Pro and the Chinese version both have a one-piece magnesium alloy case, which is firm, light and thin. It has complete PC functions, enabling PC innovations on a tablet screen.

Surface Pro was first launched in the U.S. and Canada in February 2013.
