According to reports in foreign media, Huawei's South Korean company recently announced the signing of a cooperation memorandum of understanding with South Korea's KBIZ, aiming to establish a 5G ecological system.
Based on the agreement signed by the two parties, Huawei and KBIZ will provide a test platform to small- and medium-sized enterprises and start-up companies in South Korea and launch 5G-related lectures and seminars. Members of KBIZ will be able to test their new services in Huawei's 5G open lab.
Huawei launched its 5G open lab in South Korea in May 2019. At that time, the Chinese telecom giant said that they planned to invest about USD5 million into this lab.
Huawei said that the lab in South Korea is the company's first open 5G services development center in the world and it will provide a test platform environment to other companies.
